In February 2020 Kavana Films' documentary, Sign At All Times: A Film about Brian Estrada, won first place in the short film category at The International Sports Press Association Media Awards in Budapest, Hungary. The AIPS Media Awards are the highest international accolade in the sport media industry and received 1,754 submissions from 125 different countries. Press release here.
Noam's documentary was a passion project and placed above the other shorts in his category, which were produced by NBC Sports and The Olympic Channel.
His film was originally published by Thrasher Magazine, the largest skateboarding media outlet.
In his acceptance speech Noam encouraged the audience, full of filmmakers, photographers, and journalists, to go out and tell the stories they want to see using whatever resources they have, and without waiting for a perfect opportunity to fall into their laps.

In January 2018 Kavana Films documentary, Rooftop Refuge, was featured on National Geographic's Short Film Showcase.
This online series is curated by National Geographic editors to spotlight exceptional short videos created by filmmakers from around the world. They seek work that affirms National Geographic's belief in the power of science, exploration, and storytelling to change the world.
The film was published on the National Geographic website and YouTube channel where it has accumulated over 500K views.
